Leigh Meredith is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader through Bharata Wingham in Yogaville and in direct affiliation with Dr. Madan Kataria, present-day Founder of Laughter (Haysa) Yoga. She recently studied with Dr. Kataria in Chicago and became a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher. She has enjoyed leading many diverse groups in Laughter Yoga for over three years and has practiced Laughter Yoga as a spiritual path for about the same. As soon as she investigated Laughter Yoga, she immediately knew she needed to adopt the practice and help others bring levity to their lives as a conscious discipline. Leigh holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Guilford College. Guilford is a private, co-ed Quaker college in Greensboro, NC. She graduated with honors, was the student representative to the Board of Trustees, and developed the first Fighting Quaker college mascot. She has traveled most of the Western and Eastern block countries and appreciates the universal language of laughter. As a survivor of depression and anxiety, she has real-life, practical advice to offer those seeking the mood-stabilizing benefits of Laughter Yoga. While Laughter Yoga does not involve traditional humor or comedy, Leigh's knowledge of the pure joy that laughter brings enhances her effectiveness as a teacher and speaker. She treasures witnessing faces and lives "lighten up" as people practice laughing. In Charlottesville, her laughter yoga work has been featured in The Daily Progress, ECHO, c-ville weekly, and WVIR NBC-TV. "Leigh brings total openness to the classroom, encouraging laughter yet accepting whatever comes. Her support and highly serious silliness inspires you to discover your own inner joy. I felt lovable and optimistic in her presence. And I laughed a lot." --Cathy Harding, Editor, c-ville weekly.jon graznak
Jon Graznak is also a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader through Bharata Wingham in Yogaville and in direct affiliation with Dr. Madan Kataria, present-day Founder of Laughter (Haysa) Yoga. Jon came to laughter yoga after seeing Leigh present at a professional conference he was attending for his “day job” in Substance Abuse Recovery Programming. Recognizing Haysa as a natural fit in his developing efforts to bring alternative healing to Recovery settings, he began to participate in Charlottesville Laughter Club events, and began leading elsewhere. Before beginning his path as a healer, Jon enjoyed a diverse background in business and public service working as an owner and manager in both retail and manufacturing businesses, Park Ranger, River Guide, Actor, Stage Magician, Naturalist and general Mad Scientist. He is a board certified Hypnotherapist, certified in Acu-Detox Acupuncture and recently completed a 630 hour course of study at Virginia School of massage. Jon delights in the wonder and curiosity of life, and owns a growing collection of flying monkeys. In addition to his passion for sharing laughter, Jon Graznak works in Substance Abuse recovery. An enthusiastic, articulate and engagingly positive teacher, Jon revels in the present moment awareness that the practice of Laughter Yoga brings.
