Leigh Meredith is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader through Bharata Wingham in Yogaville and in direct affiliation with Dr. Madan Kataria, present-day Founder of Laughter (Haysa) Yoga. She began leading Laughter Yoga in 2006 and in 2010, studied with Dr. Kataria in Chicago and became a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher.

Leigh has led hundreds of widely diverse groups in laughter sessions. She has been featured by almost every major media source in the Charlottesville area. Charlottesville Laughter Yoga, founded over five years ago, meets weekly at the Gordon Avenue Library and has welcomed hundreds of visitors. Meetings are always open to the public and free.

When Leigh heard about the concept of Laughter Yoga, she immediately knew she needed to learn the practice. As a survivor of major depression and anxiety, she appreciates the reliable, mood-stabilizing benefits of intentional laughter. After practicing Laughter Yoga for over five years, her path has become one of deep realization of the expansive freedom that has always been available to us when we laugh.

Leigh holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Guilford College. Guilford is a private, co-ed Quaker college in Greensboro, NC. She has traveled most of Western Europe and the former Eastern bloc countries, including living in London, Munich and Tirane, Albania. She appreciates the universal language of laughter and how it intrinsically communicates peace across barriers that would divide us.

Leigh has an extensive background in marketing and web design and uses social media to keep in touch about YogaLaughs classes and events. She develops small business websites from start-to-finish and helps clients brainstorm how and what they need to communicate online.

"Leigh brings total openness to the classroom, encouraging laughter yet accepting whatever comes. Her support and highly serious silliness inspires you to discover your own inner joy. I felt lovable and optimistic in her presence. And I laughed a lot."

Jon Graznak is also a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader through Bharata Wingham in Yogaville and in direct affiliation with Dr. Madan Kataria, present-day Founder of Laughter (Haysa) Yoga. Jon came to Laughter Yoga after seeing Leigh present at a professional conference he was attending for his “day job” in Substance Abuse Recovery Programming.

Recognizing Haysa as a natural fit in his developing efforts to bring alternative healing to Recovery settings, he began to participate in Charlottesville Laughter Club events, and began leading elsewhere.

Before beginning his path as a healer, Jon enjoyed a diverse background in business and public service working as an owner and manager in both retail and manufacturing businesses, Park Ranger, River Guide, Actor, Stage Magician, Naturalist and general Mad Scientist. He is a board certified Hypnotherapist, certified in Acu-Detox Acupuncture and recently completed a 630 hour course of study at Virginia School of massage. Jon delights in the wonder and curiosity of life, and owns a growing collection of flying monkeys.

In addition to his passion for sharing laughter, Jon Graznak works in Substance Abuse recovery. An enthusiastic, articulate and engagingly positive teacher, Jon revels in the present moment awareness that the practice of Laughter Yoga brings.
