about leigh meredith

Leigh Meredith has been marketing businesses since 1997, where she started her career with GE Financial Assurance as a compliance analyst. She was responsible for creating and marketing insurance forms and putting them online for agents to access. She started a web design business, as well as an e-consignment business, which allowed her to transition from her corporate job to more creative, intuitive marketing work from home. Since then she has consulted and teamed with many small businesses and single practicioners around developing new marketing strategies. This work has included building websites from start to finish, designing all print media, and creating logos and branding.

Leigh has been called a natural "manifestor" or "magician" by some spiritual practicioners. Since teaching one laughter yoga seminar in 2007, she has been featured by The Daily Progress, c-ville weekly, ECHO, and on WVIR-NBC TV. Leigh was invited to teach 4 marketing seminars at Yogaville during Laughter Yoga Leader Trainings, which received great reviews. She now leads two weekly laughter yoga groups and is scheduled to lead at least three new on-going groups starting in January through Parks & Rec, UVA and JABA. She has led laughter yoga in corporate settings, with non-profit groups, small gatherings, at Lee Park, and at large conferences.

"There is a method to manifesting", she counsels, "that's what I want to pass on."

Leigh holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Guilford College. Guilford is a private, co-ed Quaker college in Greensboro, NC. She graduated with honors, was the student representative to the Board of Trustees, the winner of The Freshman Writing Award, and founded the first Fighting Quaker college mascot. She has traveled most of the Western and Eastern block countries and appreciates the universal language of laughter. As a survivor of severe depression and anxiety, she has real-life, practical, tangible advice to offer those seeking the mood-stabilizing benefits of Laughter Yoga.

"Leigh brings total openness to the classroom, encouraging laughter yet accepting whatever comes. Her support and highly serious silliness inspires you to discover your own inner joy. I felt lovable and optimistic in her presence. And I laughed a lot." --Cathy Harding, Editor, c-ville weekly.

As a small business owner, he successfully built a single retail sporting goods store into a chain of both retail and wholesale operations. He helped create one of Central Virginia’s biggest success stories, joining the Sayre Enterprises’ organization as one of two employees. Eight years later, the organization employed more than 140 with sales approaching $12 million. His special events marketing work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Columbia, Missouri created crowds of over 10,000 for single day programs. His political fundraising skills once generated donations of over $85,000 at a one-night event. Jon has built successful campaigns for not-for-profits including The New Monk Project, Ducks Unlimited and The Wild Turkey Federation. He carries a heart-felt dedication to balancing fundraising with a sensitivity to mission.

Jon Graznak is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader through Bharata Wingham in Yogaville and in direct affiliation with Dr. Madan Kataria, present-day Founder of Laughter (Haysa) Yoga. Additionally, he is a NVC (Nonviolent Communication) Trainer Candidate, who has participated in multiple trainings with NVC founder, Dr. Marshall B. Rosenberg and other nationally recognized Trainers.

"NVC has helped me to begin to understand how I work inside. One of my greatest joys is seeing this process help people begin to reclaim common ground in areas that seemed hopeless."
Before beginning his path as a healer, Jon enjoyed a diverse background in business and public service working as a owner and manager in both retail and manufacturing businesses, Park Ranger, River Guide, Actor, Stage Magician, Naturalist and general Mad Scientist. He is a board certified Hypnotherapist, certified in Acu-Detox Acupuncture and recently completed a 630 hour course of study at Virginia School of massage. Jon revels in the wonder and curiosity of life, and owns a growing collection of flying monkeys.

"Jon is a natural teacher who helped me understand the academic side of laughing. I wasn't aware of the immense amount of research that's been done around the benefits of laughter. I'm a believer!"

"In addition to introducing me to the joy of flying monkeys, Jon's love for life and laughter infected me and I am changed. I laugh more and have started becoming curious about the cool stuff surrounding me that I hadn't 'seen' before. Life seems better."
